Are you going to challenge for the blue riband head-to-head belt, too?

Is it really made of stuck-together Blue Riband wrappers? If not, why not?

I know I shouldn't really post this on here, but I've just reached a milestone on Puzzle Word, horsing the 2,500 (2543 to be precise) barrier for the first time. If my calculations are correct, this would have equalled 2,043 on the real deal.

However, I'm all too aware of the huge time difference between the 2 versions (not to mention restarting if offered a crap board), so I won't be jetting down to Colchester for the upcoming "Word-Up World Best-of-7 Championship" just yet.

Regrettably, I've not even reach 1800 on WU yet, but I'll keep at it!

good stuff Your Eminence, there is no better way to spend 50p than on Word Up, no doubt you'll soon be cracking in 1800s, when i started out on this game i was happy to hit 1000. one day i fluked a clearance for about 1200 and won £20 i was hooked.

My biggest prize on WU remains £5.

NOBODY round my way plays it. The only other decent score was about 1750 in my local by the shadowy figure "ONE POUND".

However, I've a suspicion that might have been me when I was steaming, and the "ONE POUND" refers to the amount of money won from gaining what remains one of my highest ever scores.

Whats all this about "bob" challenging people for the World Title?

There's only one champ, and its me.

The two best words and two of the top three scores are mine.

Get out of my house.

Other way round - people are challenging bob for the title. Remember - that title you lost so conclusively a few weeks ago.

Well done on Puzzle Word, the Cardinal!

Cheers VB.

I got paid today, so I'm going to repair to my nearest hostelry, buy a pint, and not leave the place until I've achieved the magic 2,000.

To quote a famous explorer's mate, "I may be some time".

no time to play games when the football is on but that didn't stop me becoming the first to get a word with five of the same letter. in fact, that is lame; six of the same letter: INVISIBILITIES 504 at the 3 crowns on jermyn street. i know it is a slightly iffy plural but meh.
