My favourite experience was a pub in Chelmsley Wood in Brum. Can't remember the name but went to the bar and asked for half a Guinness to be told by the large landlord "We only sell pints" in a voice you wouldn't argue with. Having purchased said pint turned towards the Quizzer and noticed the only other "resident" a rather large West Indian who was busy carving his name into the table with the largest knife I'd seen outside of a "Crocodile Dundee" movie. Not even the lure of a Touch screen Cluedo could persuade us to stay. Some you win
