I didn't actually mean that bug, although I did encounter it once or twice. I meant simply that Deal or No Deal remains a reliable payer if you can get through to the end game consistently and when compared to the other games on the Opens I have seen that is even more the case.

In a recent visit to the, ahem, lovely town of What's It Called in scotland, I noticed a couple of a shopping arcade there, first time i'd ever seen that.

Main shopping mall voted one of the UK's ugliest buildings year after year.

my favourite odd site of all time, of which there have been too many to bore you guys with here, would have to be the following.

it was in 1988 and there was a turkish social club in tottenham i used to "pop" into. god knows what they made of me, i suspect they thought i could be a policeman as i used to wander round the building checking out all the machines before finally turning my attention to the Give us a break 7th edition.

on my third visit i fully expected a ban when the hefty bruiser of a manager called me over, instead he gave me a free coffee and said he hoped i found everything in order in his club  ....... and life went on.

I have to go through that place when im bussing it to Glasgow, horrible looking place, all the houses are like army barracks and the centre just looks incredibly dirty.

Last time I was in the Trocadero there was a Gamebox with Winning Lines on it, though sadly it was the tinkered with version where the target was routinely around 4800. Nil Satis was somewhat dominating the high scores.

Blimey! Those scores are ancient and they certainly weren't achieved against targets of anything like 4800...

If you mean the Spotted Cow then all I can think is that it would be Word Up, where I leave 'NIL SATIS' if I manage to get the top score on a particular machine (no matter how lowly that top score manages to be in real terms!). The only other games I can think of which I play and where a top score table is available are those that only allow three letter names, such as Hangman, Fantasy Football Quiz and Hells Bells/Caveman Capers (although for those latter two the top scores table is pretty meaningless of course). For those games I use 'EFC'. The only other game I can think of with a top scores table is Monopoly and I don't waste my time on that one!

As far as locations go, I can confirm that there 'was'* a relatively un-tapped TitBox in the Bexleyheath Cineworld.

Gagging would be an understatement!

£10 from DOND
£5 from Bully (50p play)
£7.50 from Monopoly (version where you could select your playing piece)

The fact that the rest of the town would not warrant visiting is probably the reason... ;)

*As of late Jan 08!

Why can't you select the playing peice on some versions of Monopoly?

because it is obsolete and makes the game even longer. the game has been sped up in a couple of other ways too.
nobody ever wins on those things.
