Obviously everyone here plays SWP's

Do you think they could be better?
Do you think YOU could do better?

We are an established SWP supplier and are currently looking for a SWP player that knows his stuff. If you spend too much money on machines or better still, you can win money from them and would like to design games, then contact me at…

Hiya, I do a bit of this in my spare time - there's a thread somewhere in this forum where I posted some examples of my work. Here's a piccie of my current project '11th Heaven'.

11th Heaven

I realise there's not much to look at there yet, but it's starting to take shape...! :)

It's a maths based game, where you are given a total each round that you have to try and get as near to as possible by 'building' a sum from the numbers / operators provided. The nearer you get, the higher your score. You can 'collect' your score at any time if you're running low on time / can't get nearer to the target.

Every time you get within 'x' distance of a target, you are awarded a golden 'ankh' which is used in the (currently undecided!) prize game.

Additional bonuses are awarded for making a sum that equals 11. The difficult part is, the operators are put in place before you start, so the difficulty comes from working out which of the available numbers wil give you the best outcome.

This is currently WIP - and I may change the gameplay, as I have a few other ideas that may well be better...[/url]

I did kinda think that after I re-read his original message... :(

Still, gives me another oppurtunity to promote my work... :)

I'm just thinking, would someone like this be using a hotmail account??

And that game looks cool matt, i'm better with numbers than letters, so the chance to have a go on a arithmetic based SWP game would be class, would certainly be eating some of my cash :D .

I understand the skepticism Watergate / Dr Pepper.

I not taking the mickey and we’re certainly not some saddo crap company you wouldn't want to work for.

I’m using the Hotmail account at this point for anonymity as we haven’t advertised the position in the trade presses yet. If anyone is genuinely interested then you can contact me and I will be pleased to meet up, as I already am with someone from this site.

I can fill the position with someone already in the gaming industry but I appreciate there is undoubtedly a wealth of talent & knowledge in a fanatic player also.

i'd hypothesise that it is revolution.
the PM function on here is the best way to communicate in camera, a lot of SWP folk are paranoiacs hell bent on anonymity.
if this is for real it sounds like a good job but i doubt that pay would be the £50k His Eminence needs to get out of bed

i'd do it.
nobody ever wins on those things.

Noted UP.

Forgive my cynicism if this really is genuine. I just assumed that since it was the chap's 1st post, and he was wanting replies to be sent to a hotmail address, that he was taking the piss. Not only that, but it appeared almost the same time as my post trying to "out" the "insiders".

I guess I'm just too suspicious. Perhaps it's about time I hung up my deerstalker.

I'd be very interested in a position as a tester (consultancy basis - ad hoc work as games become ready for release).

Good testing can save a lot of money in the long run.
