Catch Phrase

Post by Matt Vinyl »

J, J, Jer, Jeeer, Jesus! What a pile! Anyone played this yet? I assume (Allthough to assume, can make an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'!) that this is new? It looks like something that a C64 wouldn't struggle with, and the gameplay is atrocious.

I was given a slight smile when I saw Mr 'it's good but it's not right' on the selection screen, but really wasn't pleased by the game. Having said all that though, I guess there's still money to be had in it...

...If you can stick with it!

For those who haven't seen it yet, it's essentially 'Hangman', but with the added 'tip' of seeing a catchphrase as to what the answer is. You then move along a points trail towards various cash prizes...

EDIT: Perhaps I should have read here before4 posting, although at least not it gets its own dedicated thread! ;)
"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."

played the twitbox yesterday and i can confirm that the bonus has been changed so it will jump off the bonus square you skillstop it at. i had 100% success getting what i wanted on ind:e and 50% on itbox. (admittedly only sample of two).

so i won't be playing that again.

also noticed that the itbox version of countdown has a hiscore table for the letters game. it also appears to have a better dictionary. it knew LOESSIAL which i was impressed about.
nobody ever wins on those things.

Won a fiver on the bonus game on an itbox. So it isn't all doom and gloom.
