Play on Words
Play on Words
New game spotted yesterday.
Resembles the Word Wheel puzzle you see in Metro. Make as many words as you can containing the central letter.
Isty will not be pleased; its an absolute stabfest.
Its also bloody hard. You get 1 point per letter and typically need about 200 points in 120 seconds - just to win a quid!
That might be possible if the letters were friendly - but in one game we were given a wheel of 9 consonants!
Can't see this one lasting long. Its almost as bad as NOTA. And that from a word game fan.

If you can get over 200, thats seriously quick. I think I managed 190. Something tells me Bob will get 300.cp999 wrote:Free cash till it goes to 300 pts for £1 jackpot.

Whats your record so far cp?
Yes - sometimes an "extra time" bonus appears... seemingly at random?cp999 wrote:Bottom bonus when available changes all the letters.

Extra time is if you make an 8-letter word. Wasn't really keeping track of scores as I was more interested in seeing how the thing reacted, but about 290, I think.fotherz wrote:If you can get over 200, thats seriously quick. Good. Burn the fucker. Don't want punters playing words games when they could be playing Pub Quiz.cp999 wrote:Well, I had to try it to see if it was emptiable, easy tenner, just like lots of other things, but not as repeatable.QuizMaster wrote:Fuck's sake - word crap infecting Paragon now as well?

Does that imply you personally can only take a certain % of throughput on Pub Quiz and not beyond?QuizMaster wrote:Good. Burn the fucker. I wonder if we'll ever see a member on here who would vehemently hate Pub Quiz as much as Quizmaster does anything that is word-based.
Personally, I don't mind either. Although Darts is still keeping me pleasantly in the prizes at the moment.
Although, haven't been able to play too many recently, as they have 'run out of plays' on a few near me!
Anything to do with the apparent problems at GW HQ?

"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."

No, but obviously it's easier and less noticeable if punters are refilling it.cp999 wrote:Does that imply you personally can only take a certain % of throughput on Pub Quiz and not beyond?QuizMaster wrote:Good.
