congrats on hitting that Bob. very good effort.
but i wouldn't be predictable if i didn't put forward one or two quizzifications to wonder whether that is a proper word.
QUIZ? yes;
QUIZZIFY? just about;
QUIZZIFICATE? no. it is not a word. stick with QUIZ (v);
QUIZZIFICATION? don't push your luck son;
QUIZZIFICATIONS? :roll:
google says 24, all of which are wordlists. so it has never been used as a functional word. i'm rather afraid that words like this devalue the language. and wordgames which allow such aberrations are, imo, not about words but numbers.

in my limited experience of course if I make a word of six letters I think Ive cracked it, but even a tyro like me have noticed that even short words are not accepted that are patently words- any idea where the database comes from?

quizzifications is a word- dont rain on their parade!

and so pointed out by QM is zzz.

Well done Bob. I think that's a brilliant achievement and is probably unbeatable as a high scoring word. Whether it is a real word or not is moot - for the purposes of this game it is a real word since the database recognises it.

This word is so good that everybody may as well shut the fuck up about this game now since nobody's ever going to do better.

undoubtedly a good achievement but if you met yelena isinbayeva, you wouldn't say "well done champ, best leave it at that eh?"

No I wouldn't. I'd say "Who the fuck are you?"

no improvement on that excessively impressive hi score word, but I did see a high score that will take some beating...

455,019,527

Incidently and unsurprisingly I guess that the machine asking for 8,000,000+ for a £1 win is also a record (it may have been asking for more, the display was a bit scrambled as it's obviously not meant to display more than 4 digits).

Yes I've seen that before. I think I saw a board where all 10 were like that. On a similar note, just after you win a quid and just before the high-score enter screen comes up, sometimes the little "prize" box at the bottom of the screen displays a massive number like £4831711328.81 , but then sadly never pays out that amount.

also GLORFY will be annoyed to hit 38 and (presumably) be left with the only three buttons which are not allowable as a word.
8,000,000 for £1.

after turning my hand ,so to speak,to the delights of Word Up with the kind assistance of Vaginal Bob after persevering for 2 weeks I can proudly announce my first clearance that rewarded me with 1408 points and a shiny £1 coin!

PLEASE can somebody explain the points rewarding for words- how can a fourteen letter word get rewarded with 400pts? Sorry if it was brought up years ago.
