I did this a long time back on every one, doing your £20 on red, Id say it came up about 50% of the time - sorry to prove your theory wrong :P[/quote]

Are you employed by the gambling 'industry' by any chance? My extensive (played them for 5 years) experience of these machines indicates that they are bent.

Well, funny you should ask - I just went over to my local WH. Tried BJ 1st and after the inevitable 1st game loss (I bet 4 quid each on 2 hands, got 19 and 20 and the machine got 21 - there's a surprise)I managed to get 10 quid up. Then I moved to roulette (always a downer moving games while up as you get sucked dry) and put 9 on red and 1 on zero. It came up black so I'm even. I then repeated the bet and it came up black again. Once more and black again. I then fed the machine 80 making it 100 in total. 19 on red 1 on black. It came up black. Repeat and it came up black. Last one and I put 5 on zero and 35 on red. It came black and I walk out after 5 mins 100 quid the poorer. Of course this isnt any proof as such .....

Now I'm sorry, but this happens to me all the time. Please dont play these machines, it simply isnt a fair deal. By all means put a bet on a sports event as your knowledge can help swing it in your favour but do not play FOBT - its a massive rip off and destroys lives.

If you are recycling your money you are only getting 97% of 97% etcetera back. Basic mathematics.

What has that got to do with feeding 100 quid into a FOBT, choosing a colour, sticking to it, and losing 100 quid in 5 spins because the machine goes the other way 5 times. Every time! I have never in 5 years got anywhere near 5 reds in a row when I've done this - why not? I've got 5 blacks almost every time - what does this suggest other than 1, I am stupid? Or 2 I am stupid and also the unluckiest person on the planet , 3 FOB's are bent and I'm stupid? ..................

5 reds straight off is going to happen about once in 37 times. How many times have you tried this bet, then ?

Didn't really know where to post this, so thought would here.

It's a terminal connected to the roulette tables in the casino, and have never seen 9 reds on an FOBT let alone a proper table! so thought would share with you all.

Take a sample randomly of 9 consecutive numbers like that and it's 1 over 2 to the power of 8 (256) that they'll be all the same colour.

Not hugely unlikely and I've seen a whole history of same colour on a FOBT!

Edit: Sorry, bar one, I think it was nearly all black until one red cropped up.

So do you bet red as it's 'due' or black as it's hot? Or not bet at all?

That would've been due a couple of £200 tops Gary. Worth lumping a 1'er on black until it stops redding up.

BANG!

I feel cheated, tricked and fooled. I shall now retire to bed, after playing six hours of poker first.
