fact is harry you are 44k down and in my book that makes you a sap.
You would think that after reaching a woefull 20k you would realise betting is not for you!!!
Machine roulette as i said earlier and curry agreed, is random but produces chains of numbers that the casino does not, therefore you have something to go on,whether its color or neighbours, you would not get 20 red numbers or ten neighbours as often as everyday if you were in a casino.
You need to spend hours everyday on these things to catch whats goin on.
Yes you must of played a lot of roulette to be so much down but before you play your "im the fountain of all knowledge" card, think about what your typing, are you upset cos your so down and you never win or is it that you cant bear to imagine people finding stuff out that you cant get your head round.
Try hopskotch.............less risky.

o.k maybe sap was a bit harsh, i apologise but i do have this to say.....
The whole you cant spell thing..........you do come across as a bit of a geek mate. Maybe im wrong but when people get the piss taken out of them they often get offended and come out with some obscure, pointless reply in defence of their shattered ego's.
Just remember, read your last couple of posts sent to me and the other lad, then take a second to reflect on the fact that there is a chance you could also be 'delusional' and if you go around saying your this high and mighty know it all, people are gonna think your a knobhead.
And dont say i dont know you, your posts speak volumes.

i agree that people dont usually tell the truth when it comes to winnings and losses.
ive had big losses, it doesnt happen frequently but when it does its normally alot. Its so easy to go hundreds down in a matter of minutes.
worst i ever saw was when the machine churned out 21 reds then two blacks followed by another 14 reds. I was backing black for 80% of the spins, it was shit.

It's a bloody big thread i've started...
Regarding the 20 reds, 2 blacks, 14 reds part... If you were to walk onto a machine that had just been taken for £150+, but you had just walked into the bookies, and didn't know this. You'd be pretty miffed that you could put a good £70+ into it before getting a hint of a j/p. Who, or what is to say that this isn't the way that the roulette machine works too? The guy in the other corner of the bookies who just hit red 9 for £14 collects his money and walks out, just as you start you're losing run. If they're set to a percentage, there's no telling what 'random' strings of numbers it can throw at you.

standardliege....try reading your post before making sweeping statements like that. You say that machine roulette is random, but produces chains of numbers that a casino doesn't. That means it isn't random. If they were both random, there wouldn't be the conflict you've just mentioned.standardliege wrote:fact is harry you are 44k down and in my book that makes you a sap.

I agree that it conflicts when i say it is random but also has chains of numbers. I dont really know what to suggest.
I dont think that anyone or anything stops you from winning, i definately don't think it has much to do with percentages either. Its nothing like a fruit machine.
All i know is that unless me and a couple of others on the board are very, very lucky, the machines can occassionally be readable. Problem is there is not a lot you can do when there not in that sort of mood, and that can be most of the time.

Actually, having worked with random number generators, chains of numbers are actually a characteristic of software implimentations of them. To get a decent random-looking spread you need a good seed, preferably a 10+ digit prime number.
So it's perfectly possible it is random, or as random as a computer can get, it just has a bad implimentation!

I couldn't possibly comment. ]Bent as a nine bob note i tell ye. Fixed beyond belief....yet so addictive to most that they make a bomb out of them. So long as they are played, they'll remain (unfortunately)[/quote]Mattb wrote:Would that be a deliberately bad implementation Weyland?
Now if that doesn't describe AWPs, I don't know what does...
