Yep, don't pay £4. Either buy one off ebay for half that, or get to a locksmith and buy one yourself for less. If he's selling for £4, you can guarantee you'll get yourself a better deal.

You'll be able to buy a copy from ebay for a couple of quid but just read the sellers feedback, they are copies cut from copies and most of them get stuck in the machines or just don't fit, which will be a nightmare when your trying to use it un-noticed.
There are many other people selling them on the net for £5-10!
And for a genuine branded lowe and fletcher etc.. i am one of the cheapest around.
Here's just a few ebay items all which are all over a fiver!

You're right in saying you can get one from a locksmith, but for a double sided key most charge £3-3.50 and that isn't including the guide detailing exactly what the key does on each manufacturer.
Oh and to point out, yes i am making a profit, but i'm not a charity so is it any wonder? I buy in bulk and sell to people who just want one, my total profit per key is actually under £2, i don't think there's any need to slate me or my products

Mate no offence but that is a rip off, and to be trying to sell at that price to other gamblers on this forum is a joke
The link you provided was a winning bid at £3.50? you said it was over a fiver.

To be fair, i've had copies done, and they've been shit, I got one done about a month ago, only now does it work properly. 4 pound is too much though.

That was £3.50 plus around £2 postage, my price of £4 includes 1st class delivery posted on the day of payment and as i said the full guide on the top 10 manufacturers.

I'm glad someone agrees with me about copies!!
At the end of the day you really don't want them to fail on you and bring attention to you and end up getting booted out!
The ones i sell are supplied by a 'sticky fingered' engineer and are always top makes not done by a guy on a market stall who's paid a couple of hundred quid for a key cutting machine and buys crap keys from italy!
I used to sell these myself when i first started and 3/10 of my customers complained about a snap or a dud!
since i've been getting supplies of my new ones i've sold over 300 and haven't had a complaint yet!
OK so you may find a decent cutter for £2.50 but you have to take into consideration my nochex costs, postage and packing etc... and you don't have to go into town and pay for a carpark or stand in a locksmiths for 15 minutes, just pay on your card from the comfort of your pc and you'll normally get it the next day!

I'll tell you what is funny, tgina who sells them keys used to supply them to me 50 for £50, i went through quite a few and started to get negative feedback because they didn't work or got stuck as i dewscribed in a post above.
The reason they are so cheap is because that's all they're worth, and at the end of the day you get what you pay for, for the sake of £2.31 extra which is 9 presses on a bandit, my customers get top quality original laser cut keys with 12 months guarantee!
If i was on the market for one i know which i'd choose!!
And i can tell you now that the reason sellers like this don't get negative feedback is because they don't leave it for customers until it's left for them and most people on ebay won't risk getting a retaliatory neg they'll just forget about the £1.69 and put it down to experienc!
If anyone doubts what i'm saying just buy one from her and i'll guarantee if it works it will last no more than a few weeks!
