£70 jp - will it backfire?

Post by ROSSKEEN »

Played a £70 jp for the first time yesterday (Family Guy). Cost me £22 for a £3 board. Now as a just for fun kind of player (i.e. the kind of muppet who fills it up for you guys) I'm not inclined to play them again. I might have been unlucky paying £22 for a board (hopper was full by the way) but I saw others ploughing cash in for no board at all.

Assuming its costing more due to the higher prizes on offer - will this lure Joe Punter in, or will he be driven away after his first go (a la me) ?

Board costs on some things are a complete joke, £22 for a board on an Indy the other day that killed me on a 10 on £2, and £18 for a board on a Hilo that luckily gave shoes for £70 (mentioned in another thread) absolutely no sign it was gonna do that before hand, very out the blue.

Same story here :- 18 quid in one board offered for first feature - then ? and dead..

Heard "joe public" saying the same playing a cops and robbers next to me - think they put in between 15-20 quid - offered 2 boards, both offering first feature then ? dead.

Experience being - £20 in , two boards, NO playability, no valure = no point !..

On a personal note - i've changed my play considerably, no longer look to push fr JP just a higher win v my initial stake..

RIP if you ask me... Pro's will go due to affordability... Joe punter will go due to lack of gameplay...

My view is they should cap the recoup time - @ 6 quid, with a 2-3 quid offering on each board - ..

Anything over £7 for a £2-3 board is simply not accepable or sustainable

Yeh I've seen it: "Simply DOND". Just has a turbo gamble on wins, and you have to get to the phone icon to play DOND.

Gave it a few quid, was clearly blocking the phone icon, was very boring, took £5 on the cash trail for £8 in...

Was playing Hi low next to a deal wheel £70 yesterday and some guy was moaning about being £40 in. Then I changed him up a £10 which went in. Then another £20.

He was steaming and said he wouldn't be playing it again. It wasn't even offering him anything. Then I got a £100 top (off £80 but he didn't know that) and felt like a bit of a twat. Quite a nice bloke as well. Probably the perfect person for us. About 40, obviously had money and enjoyed a punt. And was getting fuck all offered. Not good. Could have at least offered him a crap deal wheel.

It can't offer a crap DW though, as there can only ever be 1 bankrupt per spin....you could get spawny as fuck and get a huge win every time, technically.

I reckon my bandit days are over. Ploughed £110 in, and only got £40 out. Complete waste of time. There's no fun it it anymore. I'd take the rough with the smooth generally, but this was just all rough, same for other people who've played it.
