Cunt Fawkes Night
Why oh why isn't this pointless shit banned? Every year millions are wasted on watching a bunch of stupid colours fly up in the air and explode to celebrate what? An intended act of terrorism??? Why don't we find recent terror plots out in detail and 'celebrate' them too? What else can we do to 'celebrate'? Burn our houses down? Chop down trees, pour fuel all over them and set them alight? Why not just set each other on fire?
We live in such a stupid world. There is poverty in every nation including this one yet this goes on, its wrong!
Plus it has given me a headache! Can't they wait until the 5th to burn their money?

Probably a similar amount of money is gambled throughout the year and hoarded away by the companies with license to basically print money?
Maybe that should be banned too.... And alcohol, and smoking, and internet porn and sex before marriage.... And anything else that anyone can think of.....
Guy Fawkes and Osama bin laden are in a completely different league,.....

hmmm ? ,,,,, fireworks are pretty , the new year celebration over the thames is a great night out ,,,,,
but there you have it ,,, its all in the context of their use ,,,,, so i agree with ahmed , as a celebration of mr fawkes undoing its all a bit dated and pointless . but the kids love it so its better to just enjoy it as a night of fun.
we could say the same about the propper meaning of christmas , but im sure at least 95% of the uk (myself included ) just treat it as a time to give our loved ones presants , nothing more

I think it would be far more rewarding to help someone out who is in need on November the 5th (not a gambling addict, drug addict, alcoholic who is skint, someone genuinely in need), rather than burn it through some pretty lights! I will start by doing just that on November 5th and I hope others will follow suit and end this stupid 'tradition' Just video 1 display in HD and watch it over and over if you love the lights so much!
