What is LUCK?

Dictionary definition:

1A) A force that brings good fortune or adversity

1B) The events or circumstances that operate for or against an individual

2) Success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one's own actions.

I find 1A to be hilariously stupid as a definition, how is it a 'force'?

Personally I think the word is completely stupid, based on nothing, a myth if you like. A meaningless word, you cannot possibly prove it exists and you end up talking about 'chance' which, when referred to regarding this 'luck' also becomes irrelevant, stupid and pointless.

Seriously, let's try to define it all, I'd love to see what people will come up with.

No BFK why do people say I'm lucky? It annoys me. Luck is all about skill, timing, perseverance, dedication and knowledge. People make out I'm some kind of lucky scally who never sees his arse when it comes to bad luck. I'm not, I'm merely more skilful than others when it comes to lucking out.

how is that luck?, the more you play the more likely you will experience a pot on the first spin or at the other end of the scale a pot that does not come

So the odds on me getting keybet pot is 456/1 and me hitting that off a score isn't lucky? Hello?

mathmatically no different than it not comming in and costing 2k

you would be said to have above average luck if you go tit repeatedly cheap...

aside you would be considered unlucky if you lost everytime...

but a one off experience does not equate to luck or good fortune since it has to happen.
