£500 Bookies slots
Are these really random and not connected to other games on the FOBTs? Are all the FOBTs working collectively or as single units? I could not honestly answer for sure but have my suspicions...
Here are my experiences (obviously a hand picked few of many):
THAI FLOWER: £600 in, no free spins, highest win £20, switched to roulette and won, balance was up to £1100 so I switch back to this game on the thought plane of "It owes me a set of spins - and a decent 1 at that!" I was down to £400 when I got them and gave me £81! So I'm now over a grand down, I continue... I have £100 left when the next free spins come along, £63! OBVIOUSLY I continue.. I have a few bets and the horses win (those were the days)... £800 more in, it gives me free spins, £42! About 10 spins later I get free spins again (by this time I'm thinking this is hopeless, no chance for money back)... £62! I have some more bets, a small profit... I'm now £2500 in in this betting shop and I've won on roulette AND horses so in total the machine has had well over £3000... what did I do? Just said F off and walked out - it was beyond hope, I knew I would never get any decent level of % of that money back.
So did the roulette paying out compensate for the initial loss on Thai Flower and then cause it to play even worse to 'make up' for my winning? Or was it truly 'random'?
Next....
EL TORERO
£2 a spin, £600 in and no free spins, no decent win. £200 later I get it, it didn't even give me a single win - after completing the 10 spins it simply said "FEATURE COMPLETED"... I continued, it gave me something ridiculous like £4.80 next (about £150 later). Eventually after being over £800 in I get £350 on the bonus round.
Why were the 1st 2 features so crap? Random? Compensated?
ROULETTE
When we see people do thousands in a roulette machine, is it actually worth jumping on after them to get some 'value'? Ie. if you watch people playing at £100 a spin its hardly ever relentless £0 returns, they're almost always getting 'something' back but that 'something' is not enough for them because they are chasing a loss which is far more... however, the next player doesn't chase the previous player's loss, he simply plays and leaves it when he is happy with what he has made. Is this really plausible or is it again 'random'?
Notice how 'random' is appearing as the answer every time here and I feel its that 'ready made excuse' for the bookies because they can always hide behind that word!
Would it be wise to play some slots after someone has done their nuts on a slot before us or on roulette? Or is it just RANDOM?????????????????
Thoughts please!

you're a bit optimistic ain't you?ming wrote:im hoping at some point there will be a scandal like whats happened with phone ins on t.v shows for example and the goverment will force bookies to print how they produce their random numbers etc as they have to be using a loophole in their wording of random.
could it be the next PPI type claimback?
I can picture the tv adds and endless text messages now.
Were you a VICTIM of FOBT 'random gambling'?
If you done your bolllocks in a FOBT between 2004-2012 you could be entitled to a claim.

ive always thought they were fixed
we've all seen the 4(or more ffs)same numbers out of 10 history ,its an extremely regular everyday occurrence ,,,,,, ,,,,,,, ive even offered people on here (the staunch its not fixed brigade lol ,,,, you know who you are) ,,,,,,,to come round my house and see if they can replicate it on a physical wheel ,,,,,,,,,, i'll give you 50 to 1 odds , pay me a quid a spin if you like lol ,,,,,,,,,,,i'll provide better biscuits than the arcades lol,,,,,,,,,,,,, on fobt i wouldn't even dare give you 5 to 1 odds
im willing to concede , that maybe this is just visual representation of a ''loosing'' spin etc ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and therefore not necessarily fixed in the ''ripping you off'' sense ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but still ?
its an old chestnut , ,,,,, with many beliefs on both sides of the argument ,,,,,,,,,,,, ive written the above before many times

the 4 machines are linked behind the counter so what goes in 1 terminal can come straight out of another. it's Robin Hood for the 21st century, but it ain't nice if you're the one being robbed to give to the poor.
playing RRFS i've had the extreme of £240/ £300 wins off a score in, and £0 from £300 in.
small amounts in is the only way. there are usually a dozen to twenty terminals in a town centre, you have more chance of a payout if you've got money left to try 'em all, rather than pump 1 terminal until you're skint.

I'll be one of those who has made my thoughts clear before on this so I don't really want to enter the discussion.
What I will say however is if there is anything untoward going on then there doesn't need to be as simply being completely random will guarantee the bookies their profit without breaking the law.

Random is as random says, thai flower on that terminal was giving the feature, did you add up the small wins in between and work out what the return to player had been?
most people I see who play these slots get a feature then they change game, they do this and often go through loads of the games, balance up and down, thing is they will eventually play a game that does not feature, the house edge assures this, but they keep playing thinking it has to give it soon...
as for the eltoredo, seen it give feature regular for very low amounts again and again, and the terminal next to it giving the feature for triple figures every time.
the simple rule is when playing random games is, NEVER GET TO A POINT WHERE YOU KEEP PLAYING BECAUSE YOU THINK IT HAS TO PAY... which is what it appears you did on thai flower, since you say "I thought it owed me a set of free spins, good ones as well"... if you have that outlook random gaming will skint you more often than not.
as for games being cross compensated, there is simply no need, the only thing that assures a profit is over time, the more games they have, the longer you will play, the greater the chance you will fall on the wrong side of the house edge.
I have seen a guy get a full screen on rainbow riches, went to another terminal and did it all on roulette, went back to the rainbow riches with a £500 pot(reason why was on it in the first place), got a near full screen for £425 I think it was... lost it all on the other machine following the previous £500. Then comes back to the rainbow riches and loses a few quid before going back to the roulette after a trip to the bank... I went on the RR and about £50 in I got the pots and it was gold.
Now it was not the case it was paying out or being compensated, just a luck run of wins, when the £500 gold went then RR on that unit hardly went up by a few pounds and got virtually no play. If he had stayed on RR the result would of been different, since it was just luck at the time.
