A little insight into AWP finances

Post by gambogaz1 »

A colleague is working on a pubs books and I've been having a nose at the fruit machine reciepts.

Low light

Machine - GATW
7 days take = £60
Less vat £10
Less duty £18
Less rental £88

Balance -£56

Split 50/50 with brewery so landlord owes company £28

High light

Machine - GATW
8 days take = £440
Less vat £73
Less duty £21
Less Rental ££100

Balance £246

Split 50/50 with landlord and brewery.

So landlord gets £122

:D I've knocked the pence off the totals, think it was £122.51

Was quite surprised myself how little they actually pocket, and they gotta pay for the leccy for em too.

They are actual collection receipts, done every 7 days give or take a day.

The all in 1 thing is to combine the duty and Vat.

this is what most people forget, the biggest winners are always the local council(8-900) a year for a licence and the goverment god knows how much tax then take the brewery/pub management companies share.some punch/enterprise landlords can make a fiver a week.even the bigger suppliers need to site a hell of a lot of machines to make it worthwile

I think it's a locally pub in a small village, it's the only machine they've got.

No idea about the daughter but I'll get on the case.

Their rental fees are very high. They could get a much better deal.

I'll send Mark Chilvers round. He doesn't bother with rentals. Just a profit split.

I thought it was usually either a rental OR a profit split, not both.
