Does anyone still do "Service Runs"?

And no, I don't mean going around servicing horny ladies... or people getting diorrhea from the food they serve...

Apart from a few battered, buttonless HoF's are there actually any fruits worth "running" for these days? I used to do a nice run or 3 up the M4, M40, M1/M6 but these days it seems utterly pointless. Why is it so hard to find an Electrocoin in a service!!!???

HONK! BONK! HONK! BONK! HONK. IT'S CATCHY AND IT'S HONKBONKHONKBONKHONK BLOOPETY BLOOPYLICIOUS!!!

My last service "runs" were to empty dials, the ones which certain people swear they were doing before me but which I found full and took the lot out of every time. :P Strange how that happens... always to hear a player tell you something you know is a complete lie and a futile attempt to impress. The specialist at it being a certain player who's last name rhymes with what he is, "blagger" - who always claims he "had" tricks months before any date you mention or was "offered it" but "didn't bother with them" also claims he can hit the skill on Electrocoins "with my nose" but again "didn't bother with them". Of course, Reds were much better! :P

The concept of the Servy Run isn't completely dead just yet.

I'd do one for the fun of it! Not wise at all cos im bad at machines! But it would still be an adventure of sorts

I think I have heard of the person you mean. Full of shit and skill-less/clueless and without friends.

I remember Toddington...

They hired an Asian "Security Guard" to "watch" the Snake Rattle & Roll getting done on the bigger side. As I was doing it he told me to "play it properly please!" I said, "what's your definition of proper? LOSE on purpose??? That's not proper, this is!" He had nothing to say after that. I explained as I took every last pound out that I was doing nothing illegal or wrong in any way and that I was off to the other side to do the other 1. It was empty :(

I also remember Toddington for the "unchip-on-demand" King Kebab. Bent Engineer would refloat and chip it for a fee then turn it back into Evil Kebab again when whoever paid for the "treatment" was done with it. Those were the days...

The electro in late night love host Graham Toddington was ready when I was last there. As usual it was £69.50 to offer it.

Trowel Services, Nottingham. I still do the service run once a week. I travel 500 miles on that day, I go from M25 to M1, upto the M62, across then down the M6, then onto the M5, followed by the M42 then back down the M40 to London again. Sometimes times i do it the otherway round, depends on how i feel. I always dread that day, so much driving, but it's just got to be done.

I don't do them any more, only if going near other areas. Donington and Trowell can sometimes be nice when heading up the M1, but as that's 100+ miles of driving from here for a low chance of success, not for me any more. Used to do well out of Donington when it had a £35 HLS, COB, DW & HOF etc.
