Id theft

Had my current account cleaned out yesterday within 2 hours fraud dept at Barclays notified me but it was all gone sick really. Now gotta wait till 19th to put a claim in to try get this back.
Also I'll not be posting on here anymore from Friday as I've had enough. Met sone decent kids through it and some not so decent but all in all it's been a laugh. Anyways friday will be last day so good luck folks happy punting![/b]

what a right pain in the ass, takes ages to sort out and repair your credit..... hopefully they nail the fuckers but i doubt it they hardly ever catch these sort of crooks

Gutted for you mate. I was subjected to fraud a few years back. It was only £250 but it was on 23rd December, not the best time of the year with Xmas and NYE and having no bank account available. Gutting, but 19th Jan sounds about right, as 1 week was my timescale too. That was with Abbey (now Santander).

thats not right, are you sure it was the right dept you spoke to? they should act immeditely, you wont get access to the money, but they should investigate straight away??

Happened to my father in law
His account got cleaned out too
It took a while to get the money back in the account
Hopefully it will be quicker for you to get yours back

It's being investigated but can't do anything till all transactions are taken and processed. It may get credited straight back they said

Just feel it's run it's course for me! Like I say met and spoke good and bad off here but I think I've seen enough. All this site does sometimes is gets rumours going in my head and I can do without it. Yes hrk there is no dispute about where money has come from it's where it has gone.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune Betch.
I hate thieves and fraudsters - absolute scum and the lowest of the low, doesn't matter whether it's pickpocketers, shoplifters, burglars or cyber-thieves. I'd make an example of the lot of 'em. :x
I think I speak on behalf on the majority on here mate, we'll miss your input and posts on all manners of subjects. I hope things work out for you.
