dond power 5?

Post by Stevie S »

I keep reading some posts claiming the method on this machine was an emptier? Now as far as I can remember, you could do really well and then it would go dead and cost you £20-£30 for a board and then kill you on game over. Did I get this wrong or are some full of poopy?
how about a greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray.

You could empty them, purely because of the randomness of the box. But also the flip side, because of the same reason, is that they could take an absolute age!

It was about £12-£13 a board with the stake switch. You could empty them yes but it could take a while!!!

This is the AWP with 2 bonus tiles on the pre-game trail IIRC. The only tip I've worked out is that if you get a bonus on tile 4 and the outcome is 'turbo gamble', gamble once to reach tile 5 and collect that. It doesn't guarantee a board, but the tile 5 bonuses do tend to have better pickings than tile 4.

You are talking about a different machine mate. I don't think I have seen a power 5 in ages, maybe bellfruit done a recall and burnt them all.

No it's the same machine.

Most of these have been converted to £5 now, altho the odd £35 one can still be found in one or two arcades.

Mr Move It - Stevie was referring to a cheat on these a while back which enabled the player to play the phone game on pretty much every board, thus allowing the machine to be left in a comatosed state for most of it's life!!!

They had an unchipped one in Thorpe Park for ages, I use to get one of those season tickets for about £70 and pop in for a roller coaster session and a nice raise of the power 5!!!

What are the odds of finding an unchipped one of these now do you think, I would cream in my pants if I found one!

I'd be surprised if there were more than 5 in the whole country which worked, I had loads at one point and did huge off them.

The best memory was they put one on the 21st december in tunbridge wells spoons which was 30 seconds away from my flat, about 4 months after the chip came out. Unbelievably it worked. I did it first thing in the morning and last thing at night for 4 days solid, and gamestec and tim
martin paid for my Christmas! Good times.

sir ratholer, I bet you couldn't believe your luck mate! My biggest failure was when I hit a classic 4 reeler (it was un-chipped) and for the first time I could not get it rolling for some reasons which I now know why. Now I would have emptied the balls out of this one because it should have been re-chipped a long time ago and it was clearly a matter of days until it was dust, I was gutted mate. I am sure someone on here managed to do it for me though. :(

Yeah Kent/London borders, ivor Thomas and Rvs used to have loads but they all got chipped in the end. The companies except for Claremont and a couple of others are well on top of stuff these days and don't site a hell of a lot of old stuff.
