I have taken a picture of the battery, doesnt look like it is leakin.. - -But, when the machine is first switched on all the lights work.

I really do appreciate your help

Ooooooerrrr! that HAS leaked. New board required(poss Ebay) or someone at the Mecca may be able to repair for you?

ok mate thanks..... plays ok though - sound is fine, reels spin fine... just the lights in the game - thanks for all your help

Arghhh

Now I have another problem..... It says it owes me 80 pence and the hoppa's dont work so it wont play anymore.

Cut the battery off if you can before it does more damage (whilst switched off of course) That should sort out your IOU error.

Should be? But wouldn't expect to clear your lamp problem. I think your looking at a new board to be honest.
