im on the hunt for either
Toyota Supra turbo (newer shape)
Nissan 200sx turbo
Subaru wrx turbo
in fact anything with a fat turbo that makes loads of noise and goes like stink with all the extras ie Baileys Dump Valve, super foreskin intercooler, wastegate's and all that crap.

no good for you traveling fruit machine players.
how about a greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray.
Ok guys here's one for you all
I am due some inheritance money in the new year
Currently i dont drive but i want that to change
So i have looked at Intense driving courses over 5 days which are about £800-£1000 for everything
Then i will put aside about £8000 for a car, looking at getting one about 4/5 year old no older
I am 32 so i suppose insurance wont cripple me, but wont be that cheap either
So what do you guys think is the best way to go about this
Is an intense course the right idea?
What is the best car to go for, for that sort of money?
Ps not too fussed about economy, as it wont be used to drive all over slotting as i work full time
More of a family type car really
Cheers

Who says players cant have big turbos induction kits and wastegates?! So fuel costs a lot, but at least you will enjoy your time in the car!!
Mr Red, your better learning the traditional way, intensive will get it over with but I recon your gonna be a worse driver (at first). For your first car dont get anything above 120bhp either, give you time to learn properly without killing yourself.
You'll get a nice newish mondeo for that money.
But you'll also get a nice 6-7 year old 330ci m-sport... Dont know how hard it is to find a mazda 6 MPV but dont see why that wouldn't be in that price bracket too. They are 220-260bhp cars tho...
Sir Ratholer, I'm guessing the MGF head went around 60k? The TF's are notorious for it around that milage. And why did you buy a Celica?!

About two years ago i took tracy's brother to blackpool for a 4 day super intensive course.
first 3 days ,,,,,,,, 8 hours solid each day ,
fourth day 2hours then test ,,,,,,,,, he passed
cant remember the companies name , but they provide their own hotel 3 nights bed n breakfast for the learner + guest (me lol) all inclusive £400.
he passed straight away ,,,,,,,,,,, but had been driving illegally beforehand though.
ya pays ya money , ya takes ya chance.
ps ,,,,,,,,, i remember it so well ,,,,,,,,,,, because i was doing ok in the pubs whilst he was driving ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, until i hit the mother of bad invincibles ,,,,,,,,,,, lost a ton in the fucker .
still came home up ,,,,,,,,, just ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, its blackpool ffs lol
pps listen to uber ,,,,,,,,,, small engine banger to start ,,,,,,,,less than,,, £800,,,,,,, something your not arsed about getting the inevitable scratches and scrapes ,,,,,,, then after 6 months to a years road experience ,,,,,,,,,,,, something better.
