lol every week when i go shopping ,if something is up a few pence(as always)i moan loudly about it and tut alot, it don't stop me loading the occaisonal score in an elvis or slotto though without a whinge or trying every bastard gg for a hold :) ,it's almost like it's what your brain expects you to use your money for.

Not looking for a row with this but there are 1 or 2 that really could do with some help with gambling
If you think thats you then please go and get it.

I wont go into great detail but I have been in the position described here and even worse !

I still play at the casinos here and abroad but the difference is now I can control it.
The best feeling is when you win and know that you wont be handing it straight back !

I've been gambling thirty f**king years and wish I'd never started. It's in my blood. Cost me close to £300k and a personal life.

My head rarely falls off but ................ it did last night but not on a big scale.

i met the best fruit machine player i know for the first time last night despite conversations on the phone etc , anyway he was playing a p3 winstepper and i got bored watching so i pumped the fuck out of open the box next to him.

i felt embarressed about what i done . i was in for £180 i just walked away without going for a jackpot .... his remarks " thought you wasnt a thick cunt as well " oh well live and learn i spose .

And in response to above for some reason yes i can lose £30 + in a snakes and ladders, but if somethings on special offer for the sake of saving a few pence i will buy it, but i cannot see my logic as i put all my change in my sons whisky jars so i would never notice the difference anyway, there must be 3k in there if i touched that i know i have a problem but i never would.

This is a strange thing that I suffer from too. I can be a couple of hundred up (losing £6-8 occasionally trying Bellfuits for boards) but will be annoyed when my cab's £1 more than expected.
There was nothing more certain than me losing that money, but strangely what pissed me off was the fact my train fare had gone up 40p. I was more bothered about that.
Sadly gents, that is the sign that gambling is more important / significant in your life than it really should be. :(

My only form of gambling (apart from the odd lottery ticket - maybe once or twice a month) has been the old fruits - never been in a casino, and only occaisionally been in an arcade (pubs are my location of choice). So my 'fulltiltability' has been somewhat capped by how much you can realistically put into a machine. Back in the mid to late 90's I remember losing plenty of £200s from chasing losses / getting stuck in loops / not being savvy enough. This year, I've not lost more than £50 in one session, as that is what I cap it at (family to take care of / bills to pay / other sessions to look forward to!) and if I'm honest, I don't really play 'properly' anymore. My next session will be next Thursday night, not due to lack of funds, but because I've got other things I want to do with my spare time before then.

Make gambling part of life, not the full outfit!

Ive had a few expensive moments on fobts and rainbows etc,not too many mind cos my "buzz" would be to go spend £500 on a jacket or £250 on a cardi but i am the same about 20p off things.I will park in 1 car park in town which is 20p an hour cheaper but it means ive got further to walk.Thought it was the yorkshire in me but i guess not

The sad truth is we all lose the value of money to an extent none of us fully comprehend.

Take for example a full day on the fruits, we could easily play on 30 m/c's. Say we put an average of £40 in each m/c, we win on most, break even on a few and lose on a couple (we're all human).......we could be approximately filtering £2500-£3000 through our fingers and pockets most days!!

Sometimes I personally treat it like monopoly money, in a sort of surreal way, and things like the ever present hole-in-the-wall and cashback don't help either.

Maybe that's an extreme way of looking at things because at the end of the day we're only recycling our own money, but you can understand why non-playing friends and relatives don't like what we do. Mr McStreaks story certainly put things into perspective though.........thats why I have no desire to enter a casino - unless it's to play a poker tourney.

I disagree Matt, I VERY rarely gamble on anything except AWPs and, if they weren't about, would probably not gamble at all (people who know me will vouch for this).

I just think that will fruits you are playing for the return but I just think it seems weird how the money seems to be less significant (£40 profit or £30 profit....not a big deal, £10 on a cab....RIP OFF!!)
