My, my. Worst place for sure is Newport, South Wales. I do not care for what machines are there, as it will always go down as being a complete hole. Not even the mega-est of emptiers or Sparrowest of routes would tempt me one iota.

Well what did I start with this?!

It was none of the locations mentioned, and is just another place in England that has plenty of capable players covering the area.

On reflection, I think I was probably a little quick to bemoan my bad luck. After all, you make your own luck in this game. My tip of the day, if you find a machine with MS in the box, don't play it anyway "just to see."

Seems that the problem that day was more a lack of punters than an influx of players. I spent Friday night in one of the pubs and the 4 machines in their barely took a penny all night. I've heard people say this before, but never noticed it to such an extent. Very busy pub too. Maybe its the post-Christmas, long January, not quite payday, saving their money for beer syndrome, or maybe people are just sick of the expensive £3 boards. Probably a bit of both.

A helpful chap told me the other day that there's only one winner with those things, so now we know for sure. He was right of course, as I was in the middle of losing a pound on a happy hour.

Anyway, I'm just off to the local webuyanygold.com with my Argos cufflinks. I'll have enough for another board, what can possibly go wrong...

It's East of the West coast, West of the East coast. Its a little way from Littlehampton, North of Southampton, but South of Northampton. Nowhere near Wolverhampton.

In town there's a spoons by the fork in the road.

That pretty much gives it away!
