The point here is though, whoever takes over will not be as hot on their toes as leisure link is/was. Therefore stuff has potential to last much longer, and that cant be bad.

If thats the case i can see how itl be. Over here stuff doesnt get chipped unless its major, random spinner chip and spin style, being done a lot, or arrives here chipped(usual scenerio :roll :) . I have only had 3 machines i was emptying chipped ever. They usually just get moved on.

i am an ex LL employee and still keep in contact with my old work mates. last monday any employee who's job was related to the Pub side of the business was put in 90 day consultation. over a 1000 staff will most probably be losing their jobs.

The issue with the company is snce it was taken over by INGG. the guys at the top are very good entreprenuers but have no idea how to run a business. They put all their eggs in a basket called Video AWP and told the industry this is the future. There was no consulation with the Pubco's or players.

The only parts of the business worth anything now is the gaming and leisure side.

I would predict that they will also leave burton on trent and the london office will remain.

There are guys there that know more about the awp industry than anyone i know - all of their concerns were ignored and now the company is struggling.

the guys at the top screwed the business over chasing a bid from the FL Group - a bit which never came and now its backfired because the value has plummetted.

I was lucky - took redundancy and now work in a different industry. TBH i miss the industry and the people but the company was deteriorating with INGG run by people who thought they knew everything but never consulted anyone.
you don’t just jump into bed with Terry Tibbs, you take Terry Tibbs out to lunch, you wine and dine him, you give him an oil massage then he gives you 1950 if you’re lucky!

Same as the Quicksilver owners. They took all AWP hi-tecs out as they saw the future in random and video terminals. Guess what, they've lost huge amounts of business....

Speaking to a LL bloke last night said he was getting made redundent next month. Gamestech around these parts.
how about a greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray.
