On the plus side I put one little quid into a 'Powerplay' machine today. the Powerplay button flashed up and jumped to three blue sevens and then GATW came up on the screen. Paid me out in eight tenners and twenty pound coins. Meant that I was up on the day seeing as more than half of the pubs I was visiting had got rid of their quizzers.

that wouldn't help (well apart from the shape of the coin).

hoppers will still need to be altered for the new token and mechs changed/reprogammed for the new coin and and perhaps token.
you would also have the new problem of machines running empty of the tokens, you couldn't use the refil key to refil a hopper with tokens without an alteration to the program and possibly machine wiring...
could get messy really quick.

all the manufactureres and large suppliers should get their heads together and agree a unified course of action.

but of course that won't happen, will be a shambles , just the same as it was with the 10p change over :)

today i had the message come up "so you know fruits really well and smash it every day do you? 34 tenners will disappear from your wallet on the next 2 fruits you play and you will not be able to get your head around how!"
Going skint....

its not gonna be a problem if you own a bandit coz you'll have enough old coins for it. Whereas buying future bandits they'll just get upgraded and cost more to buy.
