There are some random 777 ones about, my local Nobles have about 7 cabs 3 of them being compensated. Not that I would play them even with that knowledge!

roulette is random yet pays a percentage. the chance of a number coming in is 36-1 yet only pays 35-1. it is the same with random fruits - eg a £10 win on pound a go has odds of about 11-1 of coming in if it's on about 90%. every win will pay out, say 92% of it's "true" chance of coming in if it's on 92%. those of you that play the wheel - you aren't getting robbed in the bookies, you are throwing your money away and are frustrated coz you don't understand it. do £10 on red or black for 100 spins (approx 50 50 bet) and how much should you have left if you hit 50 out of 100?
Going skint....

Ah, the old question, how can something random have a percentage? LOL. I won't even attempt to answer.

Where is that PoG? I'll go and force it!

All the rio cab ones I've ever seen have been random. There must be an option, there is on most 777 games as I've seen them being installed its just a box you click in settings for random or compensated.

So when I played a £70 Casino on 777 and it took over £500 without giving a win over £22, was that set on compensated? What was it compensating for?

The random % is hit over tens of thousands of games. Some machines will never actually pay the target %age, some will pay over.

This will annoy you tho, the feature award on the random games can have a degree of compensation. Its random if you get three leps, but it'll deliberatley pick a range(or weight the possibilities) that the feature can pay, then randomly pick which one it gives.

Thats my theory and i'm sticking to it.

Its a round about 2000/1 for a pot spin, so imagine that if they fill the pot to 500 every time it pays gold? . The bookie wins more than if one person puts 5 grand on a 50/1 shot in the National ( not jock or taff) and it wins.......The only way to win is to pie, or play in bingo where they are set to give loads of medium wins- follow a granny on it to give you a chance. But they (bingo) have the gamble turned off as a rule.

im not sure this is true , but it kinda makes sense ,,, a bit lol ,,,

i got told how they combine random and percentage on a 500 fruit

something like this ,,,,,,,,, you have 5 reels with say 20 symbols on each (and im not gonna attempt the maths) and so therefore there are many hundreds of permatations of how they can land ,,,,,,,,, lets say 2 thousand possible permatations for arguments sake

if the machines percentage wants to pay a decent win , it simply restricts the possible permatations down to say a cpl of hundred possibilities , so that a greater chance of a decent win is more likely to drop

similarly if it needs to tighten up , then it simply widens the possible drop permatations to make a decent win harder to obtain .

thus meeting all its percentage requirements , whilst retaining the right to call itself random

probably total bullshit ,,,,,,,, but it makes some sense.

20
400
8000
160000
3200000

3.2 million

That model you described is compensated

All machines have an element of randominity. Why do some mists play up and others cave in immediately?

It is NOT a ball ache to engineer a random slot game to pay at a set %

Pretty sure someone explained the concept on here years and years ago
saying: the basis of all the old section 16 games was drawn like a lottery ball
A number of possible outcomes, for example, 100 different outcomes (would almost definitely be many more than this), (imagine a national lottery draw machine)
1 ball is jackpot
59 balls are zero win
30 are wins between £1 and £20
10 are wins between £20 and 499

The wins available are all added up and divided by the number of outcomes, and adjusted so on average the payout meets the percentage.. Drift either way is possible.

When you press start, the machine picks an outcome and moves the reels to a position that displays the win... Bonuses etc are predetermined and for show or possibly influenced by the player but with a control of what is made available
Any accumulated pots are either prepaid or paid by hitting roughly the same amount in the draw

If this was the case, the wins are somehow made +/- the drawn number, so you draw £10, but it pays £8 or £12 to disguise any pattern over time and keep more wins available...

I thought the current £500 machines paid a similar way, but given the ability to catch up once the drift alters the return to player ratios... The compensation is the correction, .... Someone loses £800 without hitting a decent win, eventually the machine goes loose because the actual percentage paid is below the target percentage and it drops in a win to correct itself...

One thing someone said on this thread was the reel positions and how many there are... There are pretty much an infinite number of positions because the reel bands are not always in a fixed order?
