I am in two minds.
I am in two minds about this forum, Been looking for a few days now and struggling to decide if its mainly players who came into the industry in the "vivid" days, or proper full time established players like myself.
I'm sure there a few out there that just lurk so to speak, Who was doing the ultimos along the M4 back in the day. Or who was it who made my life a night mare on a selection of fruits at a well known London golf club.
Who made there crust only to see it lost on the wheel at the G casino at 4am only to be up the next day kicking there feet outside the arcades at ten to nine in the morning waiting for that set of program 1 golden games?.

Are you schizophrenic by any chance?Spin wrote:I am in two minds
Ha Ha, no in all seriousness I don't honestly think you can guage a players credentials simply by the length of time they have been in the game, after all, I know several players who came into the game a good 5 years after Vivids and have gone on to make a good life for themselves. Then there are others who have been at it for 20 years or more, but don't really have a pot to piss in.
Funny old world....

I am not slagging the younger player off if it comes across that way, If anything i envy them. Being able to go out finding the 1st 10 machines dead, constant barrings for winning the jackpot, Battling out all the competition. Good luck to anyone willing to go out and make money from machines.
I am nearly 40 myself, And have been in the game a very long time, But i have a lot of respect for a few players i know that have been at it not even a fraction of mine. I bumped into one lad the other night he had seen a cashpot at mid 200s, He had got a hotel for the night and had waited about. Just beating me to the unit. got chatting to him and he even tried to give me £50 for beating me to it, He had made about 300. I told him to keep his money as he had won it fair and square. Thats the dedication im talking about. you could have been in this game 5minutes but with a decent attitude and dedication you can be a good player.

Your dates seem a little fuzzy...p1 Golden Games were often on the same routes as Vivids, and Ultimo's were actually the last of the true Revolution clones. In fact you could have found all these machines at the same time as unchipped Superhold Bell Fruits, and Fruitopia's / Cash Rakers in Bookies with daily refills. Looking back, it's difficult to explain how we're all not millionaires. But blatantly we're not.Spin wrote:I am in two minds about this forum, Been looking for a few days now and struggling to decide if its mainly players who came into the industry in the "vivid" days, or proper full time established players like myself.

I did the ultimos on the M4, I didn't give any money to G casino but I gave loads to some others. Well known Golf Club? Ruislip? Not in London mate, different area code. I was doing Ultimos in pubs too, so much more fun and better %. Vivid-heads make me sick. How much do I owe you? You can have it in fake 50's or Monopoly money.
Of course you'd have nightmares doing MY area! Let that be a warning to you all!
My advice would be go into a 3rd mind and not bother with any of this lot. Its like preaching to the deaf, dumb and blind.
