dunno what the rips where, but I know there was some big winners across the viper sites on these games... get it wrong and you could lose a lot of money or reputation just like that, which is why they paid out.Mike25 wrote:In the last quarter of 2008, Ladbrokes released a selection of online compensated pub style AWP's. From a professional point of view, these games were diabolical. Not only did each account holder only have access to just one of each machine, but each machine started off with no value whatsoever. This meant that the customer could never get in front. The programming of these games were also very poor, with various rips being found easily. These rips were useless since the player could only take out the value (brilliant in a pub situation), and could only win their own money back. As stated by others, compensated games are only worth playing, when you have the chance to win money lost by others. The game with the most obvious faults was called HipHopopotamus, but both Jamaican-a-fortune and Cash 'n' Curry were not far behind.
Overall, AWP machines online in the current format simply does not work, and more importantly morally wrong to have machines which are not possible to win on, even in the very short term.
There was one game that u could play on a small stake, something silly like 1 or 2p then when it offered a hold on 2 feature symbols u could switch it to max stake think it was £1 or £2 and the remaining feature symbol would roughly 50/50 drop in. But the board pretty much started on £10 so you just collected it and repeated the process.
A friend of mine made about £400 odd before the game vanished.
Can't remember for the life of me what it was called tho.

i think laddies site must be a bit tighter now.
i recently raped their wwtbam slot the day it was introduced , quite often you'll find online slots have a honeymoon period just as some do in the real world.
they made a proper miscalculation on wwbam though, to a degree where it was giving sooo many features that a fair bit of my jack daniels was going down the wrong way.
they kicked me off the game after just under 2 hours of steadily increasing my balance, i tried numerous times to get back onto the game but the site would not let me go back on it unless i clicked play for fun lol. needless to say it was playing very tight the next time i was allowed to play it.
i can't complain really as they stand zero chance of getting the money back for months, so cheers laddies.

So did I. Shame it wasn't the other way round and in real playJG wrote:
I noticed some very strange patterns on demo mode though. Mainly lose a stack on the £10 stake and switch down to 10p stake and get a massive streak!

I must have had a couple of luck runs then. Changes from $4 to $2 after a jewel bonus win and spun in chests.mr lugsy wrote:i wish!
they removed the game till they sorted it out after i complained enough times about it giving exactly the same feature outcome every single time. they turned the doom switch off for me for a while after this aswell!
Both times top level through maps for about 1000 x stake.
Game got removed same day......
We have had a three reel based mechanical amusement machine heritage for getting on for eight decades. I can see how this could be transformed to the same programming transferred to digital technology, but this has been an epic failure AFAIK.
EVERY single three reeled AWP on bookies terminals has been excruciatingly boring to play, horrible percentages and flat profiles.
There must be someone out there with a bit of forethought who can breathe a bit of life into, frankly a dying market.
