I was posting ages and ages ago, I was post ing about fruit machines back in 1982 when I first started. I carefully penned every letter on parchment using a quill and inkwell that I made out of the cabinet of a Gen 1 Super Nudge Gambler. I'd then send that off to JG with a second class stamp(First class was a hint that I'd got an emptier to High Lights or something) and about 3 or 4 days later, he'd open it and pen me one back, normally ending in "Bloope"

I still remember that telegram I got once, it read something like

"CAPTAIN-TATTYBOJANGLES-STOP-THERE-IS-AN-EMPTY-OUT-FOR-FRUIT-CHASER-STOP-ALL-YOU-NEED-IS-A-LENGTH-OF-STRIMMER-WIRE-AND-A-KEEN-PAIR-OF-EYES-STOP-BLOOP-STOP"

We carried on happily until about 1987 where I managed to annoy the local player by sending JG a reelband of Tuppenny Nudger. A week after that, the pillarbox was nailed up with wood from the cabinet of that Fruit Chaser that JG told me about.
Happy days

Wasn't a circle against non-members posts and a square beside members posts. I had loads of aliases on there. harry/ programmar etc. Jackpot George was definitely on there. Remember Ocean, scouserste, 2downforthemelons and a Scottish chap called Greg. Must have been about 1994-95.

As far as I recall you didn't have to register. All you had to do was put a message and a name every time you posted something. Other names include Proactive, Roman Reel Emperor, Father X, Will-ko, Bus Pro, Officer Bell........

Yes thats right, people could use other people's username if they didn't register! Graham from Kings Lynn was a moderator on there but he now works as a computer programmer or something along those lines. Not sure what Darren from IOW is doing these days.

Yeah getwinrej came up randomly on old stuff like Road Hog. Never did know why they did that. Proactive was a player called Andy from Glasgow. T Money was Tony. Will-ko was Will. Don't know who Bus Pro was.
