Is it a good idea to top up an ISA you reckon? Your allowed to put £5100 in this year but how would you explain that going in(on top of possibly more savings) when your not working or signing on????

Thoughts?

Money laundering here.

http://search.opsi.gov.uk/search?q=mone ... collection

Guaranteed ISA's for year one tend to fare worse in subsequent years. There is news of people getting 0.75% in year two ! Which is £37.50 return on £5,000.

May as well put it under the bed

I have an isa in my own name, never had a problem. I did hear about a player getting investigated but nothing ever happened to him. Santander have the best high street isas i think, was getting 3.5 percent but i think they binned that when they got inundated with new accounts!

There would be no questions asked for such small sums. Rather than dripping money in on a consistent basis I suggest you make quarterly deposits. Even if questioned your money comes from legitimate sources and would not be noted on a credit file/hmrc file.

you know all these sunbed shops, scattered up and down every single high street?? well i have 2. why? you work it out.

and as for pensions and savings ect, the state pension will be long gone, before any of us lot hit 65, im 32, and will probably be dead by then anyway, so live life for today, fuck it.

just keep them sunbed shops open
