do you want £70 jp £1 stake ? (thread copied from jpfuk)

Post by silent g »

think about it.....
its double the jp and double the stake.(compared to a £35jp 50p stake)
meaning it will cost double the money in for a jp...
so do you think it is going to do a £210 or a £280 (jp x3 or x4) like a £35 red doing a £105 or even a £140?
and machines having £500 hoppers ?
i dont think so....
you will be lucky to get 1 rpt to £140.

so i think the £70 jp 50p stake will be cack and we will win less profits.

Only with a minimum 90% return. Imagine how long £100 would last at 70%.

Surely if they actually made the jackpot the top prize (rather than the hundreds won from big streaks you get nowadays), you'd actually have a much better game. Think of the old 5p, 75 quid club machines of the past but without the tedious pointless spins.

Every one seems to be talking of £200 + tops.... lets face it, unless your on an info emptier, its only gunna be reds that will run that big.... i'm sure there gunna curb the mega's on these things now... be flats all the way. Even with £500 hoppers, is that with notey?.. or stand alone.

I can see after the first generation of new fruits have settled in and bug fixes chipped, the " average player " will soon start to suffer, not talking about the change from a score merchant, i meen full timers that get 4th hand info and only just scrape by now...

I can forsee a lot of bullshitting via " how much i won today " threads b4 the summer is over!!

Its gunna hit every one hard... more so than i think quite a lot realise..

Even if these are shite
it wont be a total disaster

there will still be all the 35s we've grown to love

arcades/seaside resorts will still have the usual for at least a year or two

i mean, there is still quite a few 25ers kickin about

but then again, this could be agood thing

we'll just have to wait n see....

I voted yes.

Hopefully it will finish the industry for good and I can actually have some leisure time in the evenings.

Yeah i want them, i quite enjoy playing at 30/50p for a bit of fun, but at £1 a go that's me well and truly priced out.

AWP my arse, and i bet there's thousands of people that don't want to put their change for a pint into a machine and get 2 spins.

The only way there'll be a saving grace is if they are muli stake/jp.

Quite a few of these new £1/£70 were on display at ATEI including ALIEN and INDIANA JONES hi-techs from Barcrest and a couple of Party Times clones (3 player) also a new Rainbow Riches.

These £70s can repeat too.

Some very valid point's made in this thread,
ie increased floats = more attractive to LooTers
increased jp + repeats - nice IF you get it, and don't get barred / robbed / stabbed

And as the DantheDude said there WILL still be load of £35 jp machines around, why?
because the license for a £1/£70jp machine will be about 1.8k per year compared to a 50p/£35jp machine which is currently about £800 a year.

So it'll only be the big profit pubs on £1 a spin, or the pubco's will just pass it on to the poor tenant's, thus another nail in their coffin.

+ if you owned an arcade would you pay 1k extra for the licence for £1/£70jp machine when the most punters willing to spunk a £1 a spin can put it in a B3 and get £500jp???

as I was saying to my mate today, what machines are going to be changed to £70jp?? It's just new machines.... and which out of the new machines are really playable - maybe hilo silver and indiana at a push, and perhaps star wars etc. at a bigger push... think about say beefeter/embers inn/harvester machine selctions what do they really have that's good?

Really most new machines consist of bfm/qps etc. DOND rubbish, so will it really matter whether they are £35 or £70jp? No they will still be shit on either jackpot and besides they surely can't be any worse on £70 than they are on £35.

As for reds on £70, who knows, I don't see them being worse specifically and as for star wars etc. I could only see them being better rather than worse...

I'm sure £35's will be around for ages to come and the pubs that do change to £70's will be the pubs that are stuck on poor DOND selections/starwars anyhow, maybe it will help these pubs rather than hinder them.... ??
