Ok right, I know this is getting far fetched but it is possible on either 20p or 25p to get the £500 as follows:

20p a go £13.80 straight up ( ie. on number 6)= £496.80.

Add to this:
20p on a 6 number bet of 1-6 wins £1.20, £1 on low numbers wins £2

= £496.80 + £1.20 + £2 = £500

25p a go £13.75 straight up (ie. on number 17)= £495.00.

Add to this:
£2.50 on low numbers, = £495 + 5 = £500.

Played myself recently (lapse in the ban lol, first it months honestly!), just did the max bet on the number and it gave the £496.80 (200ish in) wasn't really all that botherd about the extra couple of quid tbh, gave em it at the counter in change to round it up.

I dont think you can do that, might be wrong but dont think you can.
Although this is detracting from the original post which is a bare faced lie?

erm why not??! the maximum bet is £100, so there is nothing stopping you doing the bets I have suggested, they only stop u doing it if the maximum win from any number exceeds £500.

Stupid discussion in the 1st place really as £490odd is near enough £500 as DAMNIT!!! Not like u care when u get it, u view it as £500 win anyhow

Although yes agreed, the most you can win on 3 bets is £1500, as £500 is the max win per spin, older ladbrokes models allowed £1000 per spin with £100 max on a number, so a HUGE spin total was feesible.

I can confirm that on this roulette game there was no max stake. i was there saw it all if you can be bothered to go into a coral and look at some of there machines im sure you will see some branchs have a max bet roulette and some have the same game without the max bet.

What total bollocks! The gambling commission states the maximun that can be staked and won.I can hardly see a a Coral shop risking massive fines and possible closure.

Looks like youve just proven your post was just fabrication!

well to be fair it was a good point, what if ou had £13.80 on number 1 could you then put some money on 1st dozen or low numbers? or does it not let you?

It won't let you. It knows how much you are going to win with each chip you place down, and once one number is loaded to the max in any combination, no more bets are allowed on the table including that number.

Well the only way we can settle this is if Andybing goes into the Coral in question and puts a 20 pound bet on a single number and takes a photo of the screen - alongside a copy of today's Times.

when they first came out you could put over a £100 spin on but when the casinos moaned as nobody was going there any more the gaming commision changed it to maximum spin £100 and max win£500.
i think they should be banned anyway as only one winner in the long run
and we all know who that is!!! mr coral
