I'd be surprised if the best quiz players on here would actually turn up even if accepted under the FruitMachines banner, simply because it might make emptying quizzers more difficult once they have been identified on telly (although disguises are an option :) ). I can imagine pub landlords/staff wa...

Loved the arcade verison of Gauntlet (especially the speech "Warrior is about to die!!!", e.t.c) but games never lasted long, after a couple of big early warps to about level 20ish i think, used to get killed within about 30 seconds, difficulty level was evil. Thankfully its cheaper to pla...

Always wondered what memory techniques if any the top players on here use? Do any of the players on here use/vouch for any of the systems (such as the Major system/method of Loci, e.t.c)?

Time will tell on the emptier front but as long as dodgy programmers exist, emptiers will never end. :| It will be a long time yet before £35 machines are all upgraded/replaced, i don't think the pros will be worrying anytime soon. If i remember right same worrying about "THE GAME IS OVER"...

Bar scroungers do my head in, happy to ask for a pint if you are winning but you've no chance of getting one from them.

Personally i just finish drink and change pubs, can't be bothered with the hassle.

Most machines have the same CYBTB/Gamesmedia style 3 level layouts on the board type layouts since they are tried and tested to make money for the manus (but boring to play). I just don't bother playing fruit machines much lately unless i know odds are high in my favour, meaning i generally spend bu...

More likely to get machine specific tips rather than emptiers nowadays (depending on if you know when to play a machine, i.e. after some addict fills it regularly on x day), can sometimes be more profitable than emptiers depending on the situation. Emptiers don't seem to last longer than about 3-6 m...

Thats a scary thought, imagine if Bellfruit included that on the new £70 machines. Noel saying "It's your money now (1p!!!!)".

I'd better stop, it will give them ideas to make their machines even crappier.

Beat the Landlord sounds like a good idea, i like the single target idea as long as it is achivable by mortals (and not just eggheads).

Don't think it was worth it, busy pub (which you're probably barred from for sake of a £70) which could get even better machines in the future.
