SR5i is more secure but will work in machine exactly the same as SR5.

you could use it in place of a c453a mech as long as its configured properly. ie set to parallel mode and mech routing

from memory , sanken power supplies had no cooling fan and were prone to thermal cut out issues.

yes its possible. they reset when the machine trys to set up.

if you take money out the hopper without dumping it, the the machine has no way of knowing the hopper float.
this is whats causing you problems

If the machine is seperating the smash from the £1 coin's it suggests the mech is routing correctly.
