Oxford is now down to 2 in the centre - the Gamesnet in the Beefeater and the Paragon in Wahoo (the sports bar SoccerHQ mentions), although that one has a duff screen and commonly won't accept pound coins, but other than that it's great! Bicester is down to 3 in the centre and none at all in the sub...

Actually, looking at this it probably is the same people:

although the one I saw wasn't in a Paragon cabinet and the games selection was somewhat different - it definitely had Every Loser Wins on it.

When I saw the title of your post, I thought you were referring to an oddity that I have only seen in one location, but relatively recently - it was called "Enttec" (or something like that) and had an odd little collection of old games from (by memory) about 6-7 years ago - the earlier ver...

I've also never won it or seen it at anything other than £1. The appearance of this game on the Paragons is something of a mystery - why choose that one out of all the available and equally tedious existing games? Maybe GWHL intended to tweak it but weren't able to or chose not to - in their release...

This seems to confirm that the Birdz game and the Robin Hood game are indeed the sum total of SWP additions in the major new Autumn release that we were promised: http://gwhl.co.uk/Docs/v10-Release.pdf i.e. no mention of the Match of the Day update and nothing else of any interest. Maybe NEXT Christ...

My guess is that *something* will be released but, based on the yawning gap between the hype in that June 2015 story and what was actually delivered, I won't be holding my breath that it will be worth waiting for. Still, it is (nearly) Christmas and magical surprises do allegedly happen at Christmas...

They did indeed refer to the autumn: "The first of these substantial updates will be available before the end of July, with a further release on the Road Map for the key autumn period" but as the latest news story (as of today) is still the one dated June 2015: http://gwhl.co.uk/index.php?...

I had a classic 2015-style machine day today - visiting a smallish town that had 7 machines on my last visit roughly a year ago: (1) Gamesnet - switched off (2) Gamesnet - pub closed (3) Paragon - machine faulty (small error message bouncing around the screen) (4) Paragon - machine gone (5) KUDOS - ...

Ah interesting was that the one up 'boro by any chance No - Aylesbury. As for the double posts, it may not all be cool's fault - I have been having various error messages on here for the last week or so, and things not working as usual (e.g. posts not appearing to have been accepted, when in fact t...

I suspect you might get more response if you post this in the 'Technical Area' forum instead, particularly as this sounds like a generic electrical/mechanical issue, rather than something specific to quiz machines.

What sort of pubs are these popping up in Nils and Muddle? Just interested if it's one chain or several as a few months back the Generous Georges that are popping up around the country all had Pub Connects in (they are disappearing now of course) so you sometimes get that, new pubs opening get thei...

I've only seen one of these so far. According to the website "The G-Box is currently undergoing industry test", so as the one I saw was just in a normal pub, either that's what they mean by "industry test" or it had been released prematurely. In any case, this might explain two f...

Yep, plus there's also one in O'Neill's. As for Walkabout, it's a real sign of the times that even THEY have decided to go upmarket. Some of their older places (especially in London, all but one of which have now gone it seems) could be seriously unpleasant places on a busy night when all you wanted...

The point with both those shows, or at least the actual 'chase' part of The Chase when you get the individual offer, plus all of Eggheads, is that the low number of questions and multiple choice options give more people a chance than would otherwise be the case. On a set of say 100 decent questions ...

Ah Solihull is on my patch....yes it's still got a few machines floating about in the centre in so much as the two 'spoons in the centre still have machines. An update from today - it really is down to just one Spoons machine now, as the one upstairs in The Assembly Rooms has had its stay of execut...
