Why does everyone hate Pharaoh's Treasure? It's no money spinner but it's always my first pick on an OPEN.

You'd be pretty annoyed if you hit 'A' on Hindu gods and lost a life then.

On the 'First date tips for guys' section yesterday, while with my girlfriend, I was given the phrase "Do not ever mention 2 girls 1 cup". That took some explaining.

For anybody who ever wondered...

...why the hell one of the topics on Pints Mean Prizes is called 'The Cake Is A Lie', here's the answer:

Turns out they're seriously into their computer games.

2290 last night in the rubbishy O'Neills near Angel station. I probably should have done better give the amount of nice letters thrown at me.

Well I'll bite: it appears that when one wins the magnificent £5 jackpot on Mark My Words, one in fact wins £3. That being sorted out would be appreciated.

Paragoon, you won £1 on the game? I envy such largesse. I played the 50p version and reached the end game. Picked five boxes, had £5, £2, £1.50 and £1 left. Was offered 5p. Picked five more boxes, removing the £5. Offered 5p. Picked five more boxes. Offered 5p. In the end I was given the choice of 5...

Googling something like 'Word Up Mafia' should bring up some useful tips on improving your score at Word Soup.

Managed 'EXCREMENTAL' today. I think I must have been channelling Quizmaster's opinion of this thread.

Played this for the first time yesterday. Another gold star for Paragon really (OK, bronze star). It's not going to make anyone a fortune, but I enjoyed playing it and would try it again. Not necessarily a good thing for me, but might become so if punters like it too.

If you mean Going For Gold Fotherz, then I don't mind it, but wouldn't seek out an ItBox to play it. In fact, I don't think I've played a current issue of ItBox for around two months.

If we include D.I.C.E in the Open vote, then it's probably that and Paragon at the top.

If memory serves, I think it was court case-related. Take issue with 'cack show' though – would have loved to have gone on it.

The one I spotted was also on an old-style menu, for what it's worth. I've also found the first London instance of a machine paying by ticket, redeemable at the bar. Please may this not continue.

Trivial Pursuit: Essential edition

Machine: I:n :D :E
Looks like: the much-missed original version of Trivial Pursuit
Plays like: well I don't know, because the stupid machine wasn't taking coins, was it?
Verdict: meh[/i]

I often sign off with 111 and NELSON too. Of course it's possible that it's a different person, but I believe I met Toonarmy's girlfriend on Sunday in York. He is apparently brilliant at The Crystal Maze.
