any ideas on how much a new display would be and what the best way to clean the coin mech

I have recently purchased a bell fruits lord of the rings machine and all works fine apart from the display which show ya winning, credit etc. The display just appears with what looks to be @@@@@@@@@@@@, Can any one help with this issue? would really appreicaite any help with this issue.
