Buy A FEW PINTS OF BEER, works wonders Problem there when you do 50+ different pubs a week! A bottle of Becks isn't a bad option. Barely half a pint, usually over priced so you're giving the landlord a decent mark up. and you can hide it on the Paragon drink holder, that is if it isn't still full o...

It's a new twist on an old theme (as far as I am aware) and it's playable in that it's decent entertainment for my 50p. Profitable? I have had a few results but I wouldn't judge any game based on its performance on current itboxes or gamesnets. I think Eliminator is friendlier on Paragons than elsew...

I feel like I get no value playing at 25p yet 50p leaves me open to huge losses which I just can't justify... so, unless I am with someone else, I end up not playing them at all. It's a tricky one for manufacturers I guess

A few years ago, I found ItBoxes a joy to play, but recently, they are literally unplayable. There are 4/5 'spoons that I frequent around this way, at last check: I actually find that they are in reasonable condition round here - probably because there are so few of them left that it's not too hard...

you could honestly have a really good day out by the seaside playing nothing else but 5 pound machines> ive usually come out loosing around 40 quid but for a whole days worth of entertainment plus some of the money going for beer tis not a bad day out. I've got about 10 seaside towns within 20 mile...

I have had enough of the OPENs. Boring, slow and dulllllllllllllllllll FATSPANNER: Why have you done this to what was, at one point, one of the most enjoyable machines to play? I think the operators just ditch them in sites they have contractual obligations to rather than anywhere they expect them t...

No matter where you are in the country, itbox games like Football Quiz have exactly the same high scores. What a coincidence!

I lose more than I win. Always have done and I don't care - I can afford to lose what I lose for a bit of entertainment - but I am finding fruit machines less entertaining and less value for money than ever before. :(

Doing a bit of resaearch generally into puzzle / casual games (for a recreational project of mine) and have found that word-games struggle to thrive in this day and age. There is of course, the elite group (90% of whom are probably members here!) but in 'sales' terms they simply fall down when comp...

I wish they would abandon all the shitty trivia games (2 versions of Battleships?? WHY?) and just bring back some old skill games. No good for the pros (who cares) but imagine an itbox with word up, boggle, word wall, word blocks, brainteaser, puzzler, countdown, double vision, TV TIMES!! etc.. I'm ...

From what I understand, things have never been grimmer within the SWP industry. I would be surprised if they survived another year never mind another 25.

going through the "pubs to let" section on Trust/Punch/GKing websites is a good idea. They give nice pics of the pubs and, given that they are up for let, it usually means they are being run by a brewery manager who couldnt give a shit rather than by a chippy landlord :) http://www.trustin...

I think the new guidelines say that the top prize must be stated and has to be theoretically winnable in every single game. I think this will ruin most word and skill games. Under the guidelines, a game of Pub Quiz with 12 spoilers in each of the first 3 rounds would be acceptable but if the £10 is ...
