Bizarre that. Always be £3 or £6 in my experience. Someone must have sussed it out, spoilers and all and done it over and over for that to happen.

Slightly off at a tangent here but isn't it a pity the rest of the world hadn't gone for quizzers? Be so nice to have been able to get a flight to NYC and make your way across the States having a fun holiday whilst making a small fortune!

Yes, but I presume you aren't giving away your winnings to charity at the end of each day? I had understood based on your previous posts that machining was your main or indeed only form of income, and if enough of the machines disappear, there must be a point where it is no longer practical to play...

It's really hard to disassociate the game from the prize. There was a great pop quiz on the old itboxes a couple of years ago where the prize was £20.
Currently Pints Make Prizes is the most satisfying to play. I don't know why. Pointless is great but tedious.
NUTS is probably the least boring.

I think it said 'Demo - Door Open'. Funny thing is after the first day it was switched off, then after that working normally, but it went back to 'demo' a couple more times later in the week. I honestly think others must have been collecting small wins, or not taking advantage in a similar way. Inc...

Hammered to the point where the top prize is less than the stake!!! That football quiz based one that isn't a football based quiz one that I moaned about in here a few weeks ago constantly has a top prize of £3!! Bored one night I rattled off a score in it to see if it would increase but no it didn...

It's frustrating. They have wasted whatever hours/days/weeks/months of development work it took to produce this one by making such a poor job of grading the questions. Unlike some games that are beyond help from the outset, this one at least had a chance at being a success but any of the regular pl...

I don't think the variable top prize (£5 or £10) is going to be much of a worry given how hard this game has been set from the very beginning - it's certainly hard enough to scare off the punters, and that is all that matters in the end. I suppose we should be grateful that there are clearly still ...

lol! When I first started playing the quizzers properly I once had some question about whether Mick Jagger had ever sang a duet with Bowie. Answered yes but computer says no...losing me £3 or something. I went to the bar staff and complained asking them to ring the number on the machine. They refuse...

but the most obvious point is that there's no guaranteed jackpot As soon as Pointless came out I suspected they'd go down that road. Surely it's against the law? Imagine if you went in the bookies to put a bet on and they wouldn't tell you the odds? Anyway, haven't seen it up here yet - there's har...

Am I right that the machines with the 'Casino' bit are more likely to pay out than the ones without it? I saw someone win £30 on one the other day and it paid straight out. It's the way forward imo though it's probably too late. One other thing that's killed stuff - the lack of variation in the ques...

Another 'development' that haven't helped are - removing the volume control. Why?
a couple of pubs I go into have the volume so high it drowns out the jukebox on certain games! Makes you feel an absolute tit playing on it.

I would say that my observations and thoughts are similar to Nil and Topical;every week a couple of machines (often old stalwarts) disappear. The tide may well be unturnable, but I can't help thinking the companies aren't really giving it a chance to do so.To make a couple of suggestions (perhaps ple...

Seen one today that's lost Eliminator and Pointless amongst others. Think there were just 8 games available. We've come a long way since the itbox used to get updated every couple of months. Presume there's no money left to pay people to come up with new games.

blow up dolls, tranny like biftas in arcades interfering with me,urine in cash tray, and the worse one of the lot was coming home sat morning after work to find mother in law playing on my alien in gamesroom wearing a see-thru pink chemisier number, and i admit to a trouser surge below of which im ho...
