Unfortunately I've never had the problem whereby I've won so much a game is pulled lol I suppose there has to be some protection for them but seems a bit unfair to the skilled player who puts in a winning performance or two that he can't continue to play afterwards. I just feel it defeats the object...

I think it's bad if you can go in and rattle out a jackpot on a fruity with no substantial heat from staff and are then made to feel bad for successfully negotiating some questions and taking some cash out of a quizzer! I wonder if putting in 5x 20p to play a pound credit might make it seem like you...

... QM is right, JPM invented the 'switch' lifeline........ ......if JPM were involved in the production of the US version of the show...... which is unlikely. It seems the US show were using this in 2004 and the online game supposedly originated in 2008. I was wrong about the actual invention of t...

have seen this now for a few weeks... QM is right, JPM invented the 'switch' lifeline - I know it has been around for ages in the online version of the game at least. Seems the producers have taken a leaf out of their book! I think the new format is OK really, gets plenty of simpletons through in th...

Good replies thanks... I pretty much figured that cash would be the main incentive, just interesting I thought to draw a parallel with the arcade games and enthusiasts. Not nearly as cool as SWP players of course  I suppose the fundamental difference is the 'prize' element. They are played for...

High Scores...
So I watched a couple films recently (they're kinda nerdy) relating to high score records on certain classic arcade games. The films were called 'King of Kong, a fistful of dollars' and 'High Score'. I just wondered if there is any competitiveness between top boys on certain games in certain regions...
