I don't normally venture on this side of the board but back in the 80s when nudgers used to start nudging randomly and you had to get the symbols on the win line within 6 nudges I found one which didn't stop nudging after 6-In fact it didn't stop nudging at all! It was in a busy arcade and the noise...

If you have over £16,000 in the bank you cant claim JSA if you are then most likely you do not have £16,000 in savings. No one would keep £20-£30k in cash laying around nor would a fruit machine player dare to et others keep hold of it for them when they don't even trust the local who has told you ...

Out at the weekend, I saw another replaced by a Christmas Tree. Bet it won't be coming back on January 6th though :( In similar vein, has anyone witnessed a single pub which closed for a refurb in the last few years and didn't take the opportunity to dump the quiz cabinet? Lots of pubs which now lo...

Afraid I go back a VERY long way but my all-time favourite games are:- PACMAN, Suit Pursuit The original monopoly (10 move version) The original Cluedo I agree about it being hard to divorce a like for a machine from its scale of profit but I'd say my most lucrative machines were Adders and Ladders ...

British Quizzing Grand Prix

Was just wondering whether anyone gets along to these events. I went to my first one for ages at Newark at the beginning of the month and enjoyed it immensely. The next one is in Coventry in January.

I lost nine machines in a day on a run in a big midlands city-and that didn't include any Wetherspoons which have gone from being bankers to "as rare as rocking horse shit".

That's good to hear, cool, that you were refunded so promptly. The other points you make are symptomatic of how, well to put it plainly and non-rudely,rubbish the industry is.A quick recount of my experiences playing machines a couple of weeks ago: Machine 1 - Win a bit on a few games, then notice the P...

No one answered me back then, so I am going to claim a new record of £14.70. Any advances on that? Can't beat that but had my first over £10 JP (£12.50) the other day. That was the only one I've seen showing more than £10. Is it possible that some are just set higher (at least to start with) when t...
