When they were first introduced I was lucky enough to find a couple in my area which had a game that lacked adequate 'pro player protection', I never made £50 on a single ticket (as my bladder or need for another pint would interrupt my play) but it was not far off. This seems to be a common protection method for most of the newer word based games. 'Secret Letter', 'Play on Words' and 'Hex it up' (or whatever the latest hex game is called, despite hundreds of plays I can never remember its proper name) all feature the £1 jackpot once they have been taken for a ...

It is completely lacking in polish I agree, and the letters sliding into position whilst the timer keeps ticking is frustrating. However the concept is OK and is at least trying something a bit different. Quizmaster, the handy thing with the word game section on Paragons is that you don't have to pr...

Never had any agro, occasionally get a look or comment if I am fortunate enough to collect more than £20. I am sure I would get a lot more heat if I was collecting out £70 regardless of if I had stuck £50 through the machine before winning, nobody sees the money going in, but everyone hears it payin...

Not the answer I had on my list NM, but after investigation you are correct. My obviously incomplete list had Portugal at -16 c, followed by Ireland at -19c Greece has been a rather brisk -27.8 c Seeing as it has never been recorded as going below freezing point in Malta that makes it the runaway wi...

Cheers. It is a little chilly outside at the moment, so I will pose a related question: The lowest recorded temperature in Europe was in Russia (-58 c), but which European country comes last in a comparison of lowest recorded temperatures? (For example, if Hawaii was part of Europe then that would b...

I presume that the games with a cash prize of anything would still be pillaged by the uber-pro even in 'screw-the-punter' mode... It's easy enough to compensate against that fact (whilst staying within the new 'possible to win' regulations) by making the time taken to win sufficiently long winded. ...

The whole games being pulled issue, it does sort of make sense given the bigger picture. However in the case of the game that I personally have seen it the most it does seem a counter-productive measure from the point of both the distributor and the player, notably that it has a very sensible 'unhap...
