I know the stuff you're talking about, in all my years of drinking I've never smelt, or tasted anything as utterly vile. I don't know what they put in it, but I tried drinking a bottle years ago and the smell alone was making me retch. I actually gave up and threw it away - and for me that's unheard...

Does anyone remember McCain's Pizza Rollers? YES!!! I used to really like these! I remember the jingle as well. They mysteriously disappeared from the shelves as you say. I think it could have been due to the fact that after 3 minutes in the microwave the filling had all the basic properties of nap...

Mexican hot - I love jalapenos on pretty much anything, but combined with spicy beef, red onions & peppers, I'm a happy man!

If I'm in a more traditional Italian pizzeria though, nothing beats a good calzone.

Budweiser - can't stand the stuff. The adverts make me angry as well.

Gold label - tastes like a can of fizzy sick.

I've been through a variety of phases with the old lager, when I was 15 'till about 17 I used to swear by the high-strength tramp stuff (Tennents super, Spesh etc.). Great if you're on a limited budget, and many a messy night was had whilst under the influence of those vile concoctions. They really ...

I think that the heat intensity varies dramatically from restaurant to restaurant, I think there needs to be some EU guidelines drawn up to get a bit of consistency here! The chicken phal that I had was not as hot as some of the vindaloos I've eaten, a couple of them were genuinely painful to eat. M...

This kit was purchased from Mr Watts' site (see the pictures & info provided), so on that basis alone, it's likely to be completely useless. Also you should ask yourself certain questions with stuff like this, predominantly why is the guy selling it? He obviously knows what it's for, so it's fai...

Has anyone ever sampled the infamous Viz 'curry hell' dish from the Rupali restaurant in Newcastle?

I've heard it is horrifically hot, if you can eat the lot you don't have to pay. Rumour has it that it's never been done!

Vindaloo - standard. Just about the right level of heat, madras isn't usually hot enough in my experience. Have done the phal a few times, the king prawn version isn't to be taken lightly! Anyone caught ordering a korma in a curry house should be marched round the back and slapped repeatedly round t...

Barcrest - unique bid auction

Remember that auction for the brand new Bully For You machine filled with £400, whereby the lowest unique bid would win it? I got a text informing me that the winning bid was exactly £1.50! Can't believe it was won on such a 'round' number, I tried to make all mine as random as possible in the hope ...
