Don't have any other speakers to try will have to try get hold of some, thanks for your help tho I will give them all a try and hope one of them is the issue.

The plug that is connected now is a long rectangle shape that's the one with the grey and black wires and the wires in the actual speakers are grey and black, the other one that's connected to nothing is a complete different shape it's square about 2cm wide, it has 4 holes in it where I would of tho...

Which black plug do you mean, there is a long white one with 2 black and 2 grey wires on I've pushed that in properly its in the socket that says audio at the top corner of the board, it does seem as if something isn't connected properly but there's only that plug I can see and that seems connected?
